SeniorBridge Announces Senior Management Promotions In Its New England and Mid-Atlantic Region

Ruth Farrago, and Ginger Valinoti Oates, RN, BSN, MPS Promoted to New Positions for Leading Provider of Complex Chronic Care in the Home 

(New York City w/Local Interest) May 20, 2008 - SeniorBridge has announced the promotion of senior management members Ruth Farrago to Vice President of Regional Operations and Ginger Valinoti Oates, RN, BSN, MPS to the new position of Associate Vice President of Care Management. SeniorBridge is a specialized organization that serves seniors and their families by managing complex, chronic care in the home and other settings.

In her new role as Vice President of Regional Operations, Farrago is responsible for oversight and support of offices in the NY-Metro, Boston and Baltimore areas. She is accountable for setting and communicating priorities and expectations, as well as to providing focus to the clinical, sales and operational teams in support of the company’s mission and vision. Farrago has more than 20 years of experience in health care administration. Prior to joining SeniorBridge in July 2005 as Executive Director, she served in various senior healthcare organizations, medical centers and assisted living facilities throughout the northeastern United States.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from SUNY College of Oneonta, and is currently completing a Masters Degree program in Gerontology at Long Island University. She resides in Floral Park, New York.

Ginger Oates formerly served as Director of Client Services and Associate Professional Officer for SeniorBridge. In her new position as Associate Vice President of Care Management, Oates is responsible for overseeing care management -- including teaching, orienting, advising, and mentoring care managers in the company’s Boston, New York Metro and Baltimore offices. She will also continue to consult and lead complex cases for its New York region.

She has more than 20 years of professional nursing and geriatric care management experience in long-term care and hospital settings. Before joining SeniorBridge, she founded and led a private geriatric care management firm that merged with SeniorBridge in 2004. Her clinical experience includes nursing positions at Saint Francis Hospital and North Shore University Hospital, both on Long Island.

Oates holds a B.S. in Nursing from Pace University, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Gerontological Studies from Adelphi University and a Master’s of Professional Studies in Gerontological Services Administration from the New School for Social Research. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and an Advisory Board member of the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation. Ginger Oates resides in Port Washington, New York.
